Bio & C.V.

Elon Liberman is a Zurich-based interdisciplinary artist creating interactive sound sculptures, immersive sound installations and unconventional musical instruments that invite the audience to move beyond the role of a passive observer.

His work centers on “unscripted” sonic environments, where interactive sound sculptures sensitive to touch and vibration—invite the spectators to become active co-creators.
By integrating interaction into both exhibitions and live performances, Liberman examines the traditional hierarchy between artist, performer, and spectator. These interventions transform the exhibition space into a living soundscape, where unpredictable human input drives the creative process.

A 2013 graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam), Liberman debuted this philosophy with MyCage, an interactive installation nominated for the Gogbot Festival’s Young Blood Award. Since relocating to Zurich in 2022, he has been developing My new Cage, an iteration of his original vision that expands the scale and complexity of audience interaction. Liberman will be exhibiting and performing this latest work as part of the group exhibition All in: All Art. All Life. at Musée Visionnaire, Zurich (November 12, 2025 – May 10, 2026).
